Teen’s App Connects Volunteers with Nonprofits
At just 16, Priya Sharma launched "ConnectSphere," a mobile app that matches volunteers with nonprofit organizations based on skills and interests. Frustrated by the difficulty of finding meaningful volunteer opportunities, Sharma taught herself coding and spent a year building the app. Since its release, ConnectSphere has connected over 10,000 volunteers with 500 nonprofits across 20 countries. From disaster relief to tutoring, the app makes it easy to contribute time and talent. "I wanted to make helping others simple and fun," Sharma said. Nonprofits report a 25% increase in volunteer sign-ups, and users praise the app’s intuitive design. Sharma is now working on a feature to track volunteer impact, aiming to inspire even more people to give back.
